Friendly Numbers Challenge is an interactive math game where users practice addition by regrouping numbers using place value blocks. The goal is to create “friendly” numbers that are easier to add mentally.
User Instructions:
- Read the two numbers shown in the “PROBLEM” area.
- Drag hundreds, tens, and ones blocks from the block bank into the top and bottom zones to build each number.
- Try to regroup the blocks to make the numbers easier to add (e.g., round numbers).
- Watch the “FRIENDLY PROBLEM” area update as you move blocks.
- When your blocks match the target sum, celebrate and move to the next problem!
- Use the RESET button to start over if needed.
- Drag blocks outside the zones to remove them.
