Students develop logical reasoning and planning skills through the classic Tower of Hanoi puzzle. Learners move a stack of discs between three towers, one at a time, while following the rule that a larger disc can never rest on a smaller one — building strategic thinking, sequencing, and an intuitive grasp of recursive problem-solving.

The adjustable disc count (3–9) lets students explore how solution complexity grows exponentially with each added disc. Supports Common Core Standards for Mathematical Practice (MP.1 – Make sense of problems and persevere in solving them; MP.7 – Look for and make use of structure) and aligns with computer science standards on algorithmic thinking and recursion.

Skills: logical reasoning, planning, sequencing, pattern recognition, recursive/algorithmic thinking, perseverance. Suitable for elementary through high school, with difficulty scaling via the disc-count slider
