Balancing Math is an interactive equation-building activity where students drag number tiles to make both sides of a scale equal a target value. Students apply addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in a visual model of equivalence, strengthening procedural fluency and mathematical reasoning.
Directions
- Choose one operation tab (Add, Subtract, Multiply, Divide) or mix selected tabs.
- Select one or more skill targets for the session.
- Set rounds and player mode.
- Students drag number tiles into expression slots on each side of the scale.
- Students revise until both sides match the target value
