Card Match Game – Instructions
Game Overview
Card Match is a two-player competitive game where players race to find matching items on circular cards. The first player to reach 10 points wins!
Game Modes
Choose from 4 different game modes at the start:
🎄 Christmas Match
– **Objective:** Find the identical Christmas images on both cards
– **How to match:** Look for the same Christmas picture on both your card and your opponent’s card
– **Example:** A snowman image on one card matches the same snowman image on the other card
🔤 Letters Match
– **Objective:** Find the identical letters (same case) on both cards
– **How to match:** Look for the exact same letter (uppercase matches uppercase, lowercase matches lowercase)
– **Example:** Letter “A” matches letter “A”, but “A” does NOT match “a”
Aa Upper & Lower Case
– **Objective:** Match uppercase letters with their lowercase versions
– **How to match:** Find the same letter in different cases on each card
– **Example:** Letter “A” on one card matches letter “a” on the other card
📏 Big & Small
– **Objective:** Match small images with their large versions
– **How to match:** Find the same Christmas image where one is small and one is large
– **Example:** A small reindeer image matches a large reindeer image
How to Play
Setup
1. **Choose a Game Mode:** Select one of the four game modes from the main menu
2. **Two Players:** This is a two-player game – Player 1 controls the left card, Player 2 controls the right card
3. **Game Goal:** First player to reach **10 points** wins!
Playing a Round
1. **Drag Your Card to Center:**
– Player 1: Drag the LEFT card toward the center circle
– Player 2: Drag the RIGHT card toward the center circle
– Both cards must be in the center to begin
2. **Find the Match:**
– Once both cards are in the center, 9 items will appear on each card arranged in a circle
– **One pair of items will match** according to the game mode rules
– Look carefully at your card and your opponent’s card
3. **Tap the Match:**
– When you find the matching item on YOUR card, quickly TAP it
– The first player to tap the correct match wins the round and earns 1 point
– Correct matches will:
– Play a success sound
– Show confetti effects
– Highlight with a green border
– Animate and grow
4. **Wrong Answers:**
– Tapping an incorrect item plays a “wrong” sound
– No points are awarded for incorrect taps
– Keep looking for the correct match!
5. **Next Round:**
– After a match is found, both cards automatically return to their starting positions
– Drag your card back to the center to start the next round
– New items will appear each round
Returning Cards
– **Trash Bins:** If you need to return your card without playing, drag it to the trash bin on your side:
– Player 1: Red trash bin on the LEFT side
– Player 2: Red trash bin on the RIGHT side
– The card will automatically return to its starting position
Scoring
– **+1 point** for each correct match you find first
– **First to 10 points** wins the game!
– Scores are displayed at the top:
– **Player 1 (Green):** Top left
– **Player 2 (Red):** Top right
Winning the Game
– When a player reaches 10 points, a winner message appears
– Celebration confetti fills the screen!
– Click “Play Again” to start a new game with a new mode
Tips for Success
1. **Be Fast:** The first player to tap the correct match gets the point
2. **Look Carefully:** In each round, there’s only ONE correct matching pair
3.**Know Your Mode:**
– Christmas & Letters: Find **identical** items
– Upper/Lower Case: Find the **same letter, different case**
– Big & Small: Find the **same image, different size**
4. **Stay Focused:** Items change every round, so you need to search again each time
5. **Practice:** Each game mode requires different observation skills!
